A message from Agnes Chang, Chief of Staff, Mayor’s Office for Immigrant Advancement

March 21, 2019

The Boston Eats program, led by the Mayor’s Office of Food Access (OFA), is looking to increase community participation in the USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)  through a series of mini-grants to be distributed to partners in this mission who will create new open summer meal sites in the City of Boston. These mini-grants are made possible through a partnership between the Office of Food Access (OFA), Project Bread’s Child Nutrition Outreach Program, and the YMCA of Greater Boston, and by generous funding provided through the Boston Children’s Hospital’s Collaboration for Community Health.

The Boston Eats Summer Meal Site Mini-Grants awarded to community partners will increase access to healthy food for youth is not in session. The mini-grants will increase those partners’ capacity to host open meal sites and make those meals accessible without barriers. These mini-grants will expand and enhance the impact of Boston Eats through greater reach and visibility across the City.

If you are interested in participating in Boston Eats Summer Meal Site you can apply for the Mini-Grants here.

Thank you.
